“The Home & Garden product group has been expanded for Winter Nordstil to include a second gourmet area on the upper floor of Hall B2. So we are now offering a wider choice of gourmet products for the supplementary product ranges of our buyers. At the same time we’re no longer using Hall B5, so that the trade fair experience will be even more compact for visitors focusing on this product area. All the products will now be located in five adjacent halls, without the need for long walks from one to another,” says Binu Thomas, head of Nordstil.
Retailers in Style & Design, Home & Garden, Gifts & Stationery and Jewellery & Fashion will find a vast range of products at Nordstil, enabling them to order consistent product mixes for their shops. There will be plenty of home accessories featuring popular themes and colours, as well as gifts for children, beautiful stationery and notebooks, trendy jewellery and a wide variety of seasonal decorations. “Nordstil,” Thomas adds, “is the regional barometer. Every January it provides ideal conditions for retailers to order products for their spring and summer business.” Brigitte Nolte, CEO of the Northern German Retail Association agrees: “Retailers in Northern Germany always prepare for the summer season at Nordstil. This trade fair is an important meeting point for them to place orders, network and gather information. Nordstil, which is held in Hamburg twice a year, is therefore indispensable for any retailers from the various home and garden sectors.”
Full steam ahead with the Nordstil additional programme
The additional programme at Nordstil, with its numerous special areas and talks, has long been an indispensable success factor. The Nordstil Forum in Hall B1.0 has a full programme on each of the three trade fair days. Topics will include current mega and lifestyle trends, effective POS initiatives and computerised systems for owner-managed businesses. Exploring new horizons is encouraged in the Northern Lights zone. Around 40 creative brands and design studios will be represented in this dedicated area in Hall A3. The Village in Hall A4 will feature Donkey Products, Frohstoff Meike Marie Buchholz, Gift Company, Good Old Friends, No Gallery, Philippi, PPD Paperproducts Design, Räder, Raumgestalt, Reisenthel, Joouls and Werkhaus Design + Produktion. They will be demonstrating how all the different occasions over the year can be leveraged to create a special wow factor that will lead to fresh customer loyalty every time. The Village has developed into one of the central meeting points for trade fair visitors. Furthermore, there will be the Buddelhelden (Bottle Heroes), who will focus entirely on selling wines and spirits as a complementary product range. The area gives visitors the chance to sample the various products, to network and to place orders.
