Nordstil is moving ahead: Northern order platform is all set for January 2018

Sep 18, 2017

The Hamburg Exhibition Centre is now almost booked out, and Nordstil is set to provide a wide range of segments that will cater for the specific needs of retailers, with fresh ideas and exciting new products.

Ambitious, excited about new products and timeless? This combination of qualities will sound familiar to many retailers, and they’re the ones who will be visiting Nordstil from 13 to 15 January. The trade fair will be easily accessible and will make the most of its potential in six product groups*, featuring both innovations and classics. Retailers in and around Hamburg will therefore find that Nordstil is more than a home advantage, but that it will also give them guaranteed trading incentives for the entire spring and summer season in 2018 – thanks to exhibitors from Germany, the Netherlands and Scandinavia.

So far 90 per cent of space in the available 11 halls has been booked at the Hamburg Exhibition Centre. “The current booking level,” says BinuThomas, head of Nordstil, “is clearly above last year’s, i.e. September 2016. The trade fair has been designed as the northern order and inspiration platform for exhibitors and retailers.” What Thomas has in mind is also the experiential character of the event. Visitors can get the feeling of the latest trends at some stunning presentations, explore business ideas presented in exciting talks and create new things with their own hands at various workshops.

All this can be found at themes & events such as the Nordstil Forum, Nordstil Creative and the Village – a major hub and focal point for German designer brands. The portfolio has been further enhanced by some Northern Lights, selected by the curator, Peter de Vries, with imaginative product ideas involving unusual materials from start-ups, young designers and small studio workshops. The product range at Nordstil will also include the Buddelhelden, an area of beverage specialists, with exquisite wines and spirits. Furthermore, Nordstil Winter will be the second winter trade fair of this kind to include a broadly based product group entitled Gifts & Stationery. It will be presented to retailers in Halls A2 and A3.

Nordstil is now available on a brand-new website. The website of this northern order platform is fully focused on user-friendliness, with an intuitive interface, concise information and authentic imagery on all pages, in particular.
