For the second time this year Nordstil 2018 will be opening its gates at the Hamburg Exhibition Centre. The forthcoming event will occupy a different timeslot this year – from 11 to 13 August. The exhibitors feel good about this change in dates: “Nearly 85 per cent of exhibition space has been booked already. So we are fully on track. For both exhibitors and traders, this tradeshow will be an order and inspiration platform for the North – and indeed at a new time, at the height of summer,” says Binu Thomas, head of Nordstil.
Exhibitors from Germany, the Netherlands and Scandinavia will be showcasing their latest innovative products in four segments: Home & Garden, Style & Design, Gifts & Stationery and Jewellery & Fashion. The A-halls at the Hamburg Exhibition Centre will feature innovative products which are all about furnishings, decorations, design and gifts, with companies such as AM-Design Floristik, Avancarte, Casablanca, CEPEWA, Ib Laursen, Krasilnikoff, Nordal and Rannenberg & Friends.
The B-halls will focus on the home and garden, the kitchen, jewellery and fashion, as well as beauty and wellness. New products will be presented by companies such as Accentra Kosmetik-Accessoires, Becker-Manicure, Chr. Bollweg, Trendwerkk, Gourmet Berner, Feuer & Glas, Le Creuset and Vosteen. A major change can be expected with bags and leather goods, as they will no longer be in Hall B2, but in B7 where they’ll be with fashion and jewellery, offering new, exciting combinations in the fashion sector. From now on Hall B2 will just contain House & Garden.
Inspiration for visitors – thanks to popular special show formats
A wide range of special shows will give visitors opportunities for some hands-on creativity and for new input and ideas for their own businesses. Nordstil will feature trend presentations, talks and events as well as creative workshops based on a well established idea: learning by doing.
One popular meeting point at Nordstil has always been the Village where innovative companies jointly present themselves to visitors. At this coming Nordstil, the Village will be a cooperative venture between Donkey, Good old Friends, Gift company, No Gallery, Pad, Paperproducts Design, Philippi, Räder, Raumgestalt and Sompex.
The product range at Nordstil would of course be incomplete without its Buddelhelden (beverage specialists) with their exquisite wines and spirits.
Buyers themselves can be creative in the Nordstil Creative Area – a place where everyone can have a go at art and craft to their heart’s content. This will of course be an opportunity for them to try out new art and craft materials which they can then order right where they are.
The Northern Lights Area will feature junior designers, start-ups and small art and craft studios with their imaginative new product ideas. Not far away, visitors can receive perfect inspiration from a range of speakers in the Nordstil Lecture Square. It’s equally worthwhile to walk around the adjacent trend presentations with plenty of examples how the new products can be showcased in a shop.
Nordstil is also very well valued in the blogosphere: Lifestyle bloggers will have their own stand in Hall A1, entitled “BlogUps – Blog up your Business”. They will be giving live presentations of their favourite trend products and inviting visitors to network with one another.
To enable visitors to meet at a digital level, the Hamburg Exhibition Centre will provide free Wi-Fi. During Nordstil you can use up to 200 megabytes of free data, or enjoy up to 1 gigabyte against payment of a fee. Click here for further details.
