Hamburg gives the green light: Nordstil will take place

25 May 2021

As announced by the City of Hamburg, trade fairs will once again be possible at the location from 22 May 2021 onwards, subject to compliance with an appropriate safety concept. The Summer Nordstil can therefore take place as planned from 24 to 26 July 2021 at the Hanseatic City's exhibition grounds. As the Hamburg exhibition halls on the A site are currently still largely used as the central Corona vaccination centre, Sommer Nordstil will occupy six of the seven B halls on the exhibition grounds.

It is officially confirmed - the Summer Nordstil 2021 can take place as planned from 24 to 26 July 2021 at the exhibition grounds under the TV Tower. The Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg announced this by decree on Friday. "We are relieved and full of beans. We have been very active in the preparations for Nordstil over the last few weeks and the great response from the industry has confirmed this. I would like to call on all exhibitors and visitors, let's use this opportunity together for a successful new start for retail in northern Germany and beyond. Even though almost all available space has already been booked, participation as an exhibitor is still possible. It's time again to meet and exchange ideas in person, to be inspired, to discover new things and to place orders", says Philipp Ferger, Vice President Consumer Goods Fairs at Messe Frankfurt Exhibition.

Due to the safety regulations of the Hanseatic city, it will only be possible to visit the fair after purchasing the ticket online and with a current negative Corona test or complete vaccination protection as of today. The submission of a self-disclosure form will no longer be required, but indoor masks will remain mandatory in the Hanseatic City. Exhibitors and visitors will be comprehensively informed once again about the safety and hygiene requirements of the local authorities shortly before the Summer Nordstil.

The occupation of the Hamburg exhibition halls in the A area by the central Corona Vaccination Centre of the Hanseatic City means that Summer Nordstil will occupy the B halls 1 to 6 and thus the majority of the eastern exhibition grounds. This means that in addition to the Central and East Entrances, access is also possible via the South Entrance. The clearly structured division of the product groups into Gifts & Stationery, Home & Garden, Kitchen & Gourmet, Jewellery & Fashion and Style & Design in the halls has been optimised once again and adapted to the current hall planning.

The Summer Nordstil will take place from 24 to 26 July 2021.
