Retailers in search of inspiration will quickly find what they are looking for at the largest regional order platform in Northern Germany – Nordstil. The event will host around 800 exhibitors presenting their new autumn and winter collections on ten hall levels. These include home accessories for the cooler seasons as well as decorative and seasonal items, stationery, jewellery, watches and fashion accessories, exquisite spices and wines, fine soaps and lotions. They are organised into four areas: Home & Garden, Style & Design, Gifts & Stationery, and Jewellery & Fashion.
“True to our motto ‘Success on Board’, the 10th edition of Nordstil brings a balanced blend of products for retailers to Hamburg. This is mainly due to the mix of German, Northern and Western European exhibitors. The result is a range of goods that perfectly matches the needs of North German retailers,” says Binu Thomas, Head of Nordstil.
This summer, 61 Danish, 38 Dutch and 15 Swedish exhibitors will play their part in enhancing the fair’s product range. “Nordstil also enjoys a strong reputation for providing an exciting programme of events, including get-togethers, lectures, workshops and trend presentations”, adds Thomas.
Brigitte Nolte, Managing Director of Einzelhandelverband Nord (the association of retailers in Northern Germany) agrees. “Nordstil is a must for North German retailers. The abundance of attractive presentations and wealth of information available make the trade fair an important ordering venue and an inspiring experience for businesses far beyond the metropolitan area”, she explains.
Events, workshops & much more
Nordstil’s extensive supporting programme also provides inspiration and extra know-how. Retailers will find tips and suggestions for managing their business even more successfully in the Nordstil Forum, the trade fair’s stage for lectures and workshops in Hall B1.0.
“Do-it-yourself” is the theme at Nordstil Kreativ in Hall A3. Here, retailers can try out new craft products and creative techniques for themselves. For the first time, there is also a live graffiti show: On all three days of the fair, the graffiti artist Marcel Schminke will demonstrate how to design graffiti walls and surfaces artistically and transform them into real eye-catchers.
“Northern Lights” in Hall A4 also has a creative theme. It provides a venue for newcomers, such as university graduates or small manufactories, to present their unusual and original product ideas. The Village – a joint presentation by ten prominent design companies featuring new approaches to product presentation and shop design – is another crowd magnet in this hall.
Buddelhelden in Hall B1.1 focuses on fine wines and selected spirits as supplementary ranges. Selected winegrowers invite you to taste and exchange ideas. Hall B7 will host several daily fashion shows under the label “Special Cargo". These collections by young designers are complemented with suitable products from Nordstil exhibitors. After all, fashionable accessories also make ideal supplementary ranges in the retail trade.
