Winter Nordstil 2022 will take place! Off to Hamburg to do business

The green light has been given for the order fair in Hamburg from January 15 to 17, 2022, according to a decision by the Hamburg Senate after the Conference of Minister Presidents met last week. This makes Nordstil the second consumer goods trade fair to take place this year and the last for the time being at the beginning of this year's trade show cycle. It is thus one of the few platforms at the beginning of the year where 2022 orders can be placed. 670 exhibitors from Germany, the Netherlands and Scandinavia will show an incomparable selection of trendy products for the regional retail trade. A visit is worthwhile in any case. Attention should be paid to the 2G-Plus regulations (vaccinated or recovered plus tested) that have been in force at events in Hamburg since the beginning of January. Visitors to the trade fairs must therefore present a current proof of vaccination or convalescence at the entrance, as well as a current proof of testing, unless they are boostered.

It's about time for a personal reunion! Next Saturday, the Nordstil opens its doors in Hamburg as planned. 670 exhibitors - due to the current development of the Corona pandemic thus slightly less than the 700 originally registered in October - will present their highlights for the spring and summer business as well as the upcoming autumn, winter and Christmas season to the trade for three days in Halls A1, A3 and A4 and Halls B1, B2, B3, B4 and B7 of the Hamburg exhibition grounds. Following the cancellation of Christmasworld, this is the last opportunity for retailers to order the Christmas assortment for the coming season.

After the cancellations and postponements of the consumer goods fairs in Frankfurt, Paris and Stockholm, I am very pleased that Nordstil can take place and it starts on Saturday. Our protective and hygienic measures mean that face-to-face meetings at the fair in January will once again be possible on our traditional date at the beginning of the year. Trade fairs are still a crucial marketing tool and long-term customer loyalty needs personal contact and exchange," says Susanne Schlimgen, Director Nordstil.

Test first, then order

In 2020 and 2021, Nordstil has already proven that physical trade fairs are safe in times of pandemic. This includes a safety and hygiene concept, with a large number of measures, which is constantly adapted in close cooperation with the Hamburg health authorities. Stricter rules have been in place in Hamburg since the beginning of January 2022 due to the spread of the Omicron variant. For indoor events, the 2G plus regulation (vaccinated or recovered plus tested) applies. According to the current status, trade fair visitors must present a current proof of vaccination or recovery as well as a current proof of testing at the entrance, which must not be older than 24 hours (antigen rapid test) or 48 hours (PCR test) at the time of entry. It is important to bring all necessary documents (ID card, vaccination certificate or app scan, proof of recovery as well as a current test certificate) for this purpose. In case of proven booster vaccination, the testing requirement is waived from the day of vaccination. Due to these checks, there may be waiting times at the entrance area.

The measures of the safety and hygiene concept also include the registration of visitors and exhibitors, constant fresh air exchange and enlarged exhibitor stands, which ensure sufficient distance on the stand. In addition, masks are mandatory in all indoor areas throughout the event. Wearing FFP2 masks is recommended, but surgical masks are mandatory as a minimum.

What will be important tomorrow at the point of sale

Visitors will find creative ideas and exciting impulses in the Village in Hall A3. Ten exhibitors have once again joined forces in a joint presentation to show retailers the latest trends in merchandise presentation and selected product highlights from their assortments. The special feature of the Village is that it shows how products from different brands work together and where synergies can be exploited. The Village also offers the perfect opportunity for personal exchange and networking. Fresh and original product ideas that have something out of the ordinary will also be presented by the Nordlichter in Hall B4. This has established itself as a beacon for those in search of innovations and high-quality objects. In the special aral, 28 designers, start-ups, university graduates as well as small manufactories show their refreshing product ideas. Every noble drop has its own special story: the Buddelhelden area in Hall B1.0 is one of the contact points at Nordstil. Exhibitors of wine and spirits will explain the concept behind their signature drinks over a glass. The area invites visitors to taste, exchange and order.

The next Winter Nordstil will be held January 15-17, 2022 and the next Summer Nordstil will be held July 23-25, 2022.
