At Gubo (Hall A1, F21), the story dates back to 1953. Silke Gubo runs the family business in Kaufbeuren, where glass stones and beads are crafted over an open flame and made into jewellery by hand. Frohstoff (Hall A3, E66) also has its own distinctive signature: founder Mareike Bucholz designs the motifs that are hand-printed onto textiles in the company’s Hamburg-based workshop. In 2027, Frohstoff celebrates its 25th anniversary.
Personal dedication can also transform an entire business. At Hof Löbke (Hall B1. Ground Floor, D41), a traditional farm in Ibbenbüren-Laggenbeck has grown into a family-run company with its own artisan food production, catering facilities and direct sales. Its product range includes fruit spreads, juices, liqueurs, delicatessen products and gift items. At Kunst & Papier (Hall B2, B83), a personal passion has likewise grown into a family business. Andreas Tschernoch founded the company in 1990, driven by the love for paper and bookbinding, his son Till Apel has been running the business in the second generation since 2024.
